The dhaal is simple dhal, that I love.. got this one from an old friend in college who'd brought it over when I was feeling sick. Daal 3/4 cup masoor dal 1 large tomato, chopped 1 medium onion, chopped 4 sprigs spring onions, chopped 4 red chilies 6 cloves garlic, crushed 2 tbsp ghee 1/2 tsp jeera 1/2 tsp jeera powder 1/2 tsp chili powder 1/2 tsp coriander powder 1/2 tsp turmeric powder 1/2 tsp mustard seeds Salt to taste To P repare : 1. Add D al to 3 cups of water and boil for about 20 mins, till soft. While boiling add all the powders and the garlic. 2. In a pan, add ghee.
